This light uses an idea by Kazm (not spelled Kazam) of using an emergency cell phone charger to run a 555 timer circuit. The 1.5 volt one AA battery device boosts the voltage to 5.5v and the 555 circuit turns that into a square wave pulse. The pulsed energy is sent through a transformer which drives a 110 volt LED light bulb. Jonnydavro, Slayer007, Jeanna, and Skywatcher are some of the other people who have been envolved with this project at the Energetic Forum.
