Problem: USB won't connect, Fast Battery drain, MTP app pops even when no USB connected. Solution: Replace USB PCB, buy the part in ebay for 7$ Warranty: Samsung: likely not taking liability on the issue, and will not service a "non-US" version of the phone in the US, even for money! Here are links to where the PCB can be bought...this is not recommendation but rather a reference to the part If you wanted original (28$) - www.ebay.com Otherwise (and most likely manufactured in same factory in china) for 7.8$: www.parts4repair.com

Correction: this is a dual core 800 MHz processor. PERSONAL NOTE: ATT Go Phone was the best option for the person who uses this phone. With most ATT phones you are able to change the APN without unlocking , unlike some of the Straight Talk and Net10 phones that have the APN locked. The person who uses this phone travels all over the USA and is notorious for loosing, damaging, and having electronics stolen in airports, and needed a smartphone that was available just about anywhere, if and when that should happen. They also wanted a cheaper option of unlimited talk and text that works in Alaska. I can guarantee this phone works on the northslope of AK where the service map says it should work. Alaska has its own towers that are partnered off of and getting a Alaska based phone you would have to pay extra to be able to use it out of Alaska State. On Net10 if you auto pay your unlimited is reduced to / month. Since the battery life is just OK and phone is used in travel. An additional battery was purchased to keep on hand that came with a wall charger and usb port so the phone and extra battery can be charged at the same time. Extra battery and charger can be found on ebay for around .00 or .00 if you want a extra OEM Samsung battery and charger. The Samsung Galaxy S2 (Hercules) from T-Mobile. In the box, you get a USB cable, USB micro charging port, a sim card and some books. The phone is great and FAST. It runs Android Gingerbread (2.3.6) with Samsung's Touchwiz 4.0. Packs some good specifications too. This phone does not have the Exynos processor like its original version, unfortunately. T-Mobiles 42 mbps HSPA+ network does not support it.

ALSO! the way to get your samsung to 'usb debug' is: go menu, settings, applications, development and then usb debugging. i only just remembered it then! note** ive noticed that i cant get my hd recordings onto my computer without significant quality loss, so im guessing i need kies for that.. and so far i cant use kies.. soooo... im working on finding something! damn you kies! so i hope this helps! who reads manuals anyway! let me know if you have any other issues. thanks for watching! thanks to arkancel for this solution: 1. Unplug the USB cable 2. On the cell phone, dial the following number: *#7284# Once the last # is hit, the PhoneUtil application is launched. Choose USB - Modem and then USB - PDA mode.
