Homemade 12V to 48V DC-DC Converter Battery Charger for Electric Scooter/Bike

Homemade 12V to 48V DC-DC Converter Battery Charger for Electric Scooter/Bike Tube. Duration : 6.07 Mins.
This is a PC board I made so I can charge a 48V seal lead acid battery from any 12VDC source. This design is simple and uses an off-the-shelf audio crossover coil. It charges my battery from a 12V source that gets switched on once the sun goes down. In the morning my batteries are ready to go and it didn't cost me anything. Energy from the sun. However I can use with and 12V source that can provide 2-3 amps of power. There is a special circuit that will stop the SMPS once the battery level low around 11 volts. Next day the sun comes up and charges the 12V battery.

This circuit converts 12V DC from solar panel and battery storage system and produces 48V DC (60V) to charger the battery pack in my DAYMAK Austin electric bike. Faster charge than OEM charger. Great for someone driving an RV from campground to campground with an e bike on the back for short trips once they get to their destination. This circuit will keep the batteries fully charged and ready to go. You can also use this with a 12V battery charger charger if you original charger has given up the ghost. Or you could have a solar panel charge a battery during the day and use the energy stored to charge your electric bicycle or EV for "free" at night. Automatic circuit switches to trickle charging after battery is completely fast charged.

Homemade Solar USB Charger using old solar lamps

Homemade Solar USB Charger using old solar lamps Tube. Duration : 3.65 Mins.
Not a tutorial. I have no camera tripod so I just showed segments of what I was doing in the project. This basic circuit just charges and monitors the batteries when there is sun, and they'll charge my phone for quite a bit afterwords. At least an hour without sun. It charges at 300ma and my phone needs 100ma or so of power to charge. So essentially it charges in real time. Great for long bike rides or hiking. The ipods, and iphones require a special communication circuit which communicates with the ipod or iphone when plugged in. This type of detection circuit needs to be created to charge such devices, so as it stands, this will not charge an ipod or an iphone, but will soon! check back later on!

Solar CellPhone Charger - Homemade Tube. Duration : 2.53 Mins.
www.epicphysics.com This video shows a way to convert a normal cell phone to a solar cell phone charger. Materials needed are some small solar panels, some cable, a soldering iron and some silicone. This solar cell phone charger is easy to make and will power almost any cell phone. It costs approx 8 $ to build and this includes the cost of 2 brand new solar cells from garden lights. The solar cell phone charger will operate in slightly cloudy to sunny conditions and would be ideal for those who are constantly on the go and may not always have access to a traditional cell phone charging system.
